Before coming to China, it will be better to ask us whether the schedule is ok in case any holidays.
Two long vacations in China-------
Chinese New Year :It does not come on a certain date but usually comes by the end of January or beginning of February. Many shopping malls are close about 2 weeks. For most factories, the workers have about one-month vacation because they come back to hometown. That means you have to wait a longer time for production. It is not a good idea coming to China during this period.
Chinese National Holiday: From 1st to 7th October are Chinese National Holiday. Though the shipping malls are open, many other companies don’t work during this period. People are off and go out to travel. Without a doubt, the traffic is not good while the hotel is more expensive.
Besides the above two big vocations, there are still small vocations such as Mid Autumn Day Festival, Labour Day, Tomb Sweeping Day and so on. Most people used to have 2~3 days off but markets & shops are still open. It is not a very big problem for a business visit.
